Bring the joy of old school playgrounds to your backyard with a teeter totter guaranteed to provide endless hours of fun for the little one’s. They won’t only bring joy to your child but they will keep them active and healthy, something that can be hard these days with technology in the hands of most kids 6 years and up.
Today we’ll be comparing two different seesaws that are both readily available, have good feedback and are not too heavy on the wallet. Obviously there are different features that will make each stand out and that’s why we’re here, to differentiaite and help you decide which one is right for you.
The first one we’ll discuss is the Hedstrom M08845 Roundabout, it’s bright orange and a dark navy blue with a nice powder coated finish that makes it stand out in any yard. It’s equipped with adjustable shock absorbers that will allow it to grow with your child. The design and single fulcrum make for a more stable and safe rocking motion so you don’t have to worry about tipping. This thing also features 360 rotational spin, something most others lack. Another great feature is the ergonomic rounded seat for comfort.
Pros:
- 360 rotation
- Shock absorber
- Build material
Cons:
- Low lift height (24.5 inches)
- Sponge seat (Will mould)
The second one we’ll be talking about it is the Spiro Spin Seesaw from TP Toys, a very well known manufacturer of playground equipment so you know this one is going to be sturdy. This one is best suited for children aged 3 to 8 years old with a maximum seat weight of 35kg. It has a 24 inch lift height which is standard for a seesaw this size. It’s also got shock absorbing wheels that will assist with spinning.
